What we are looking for
AscellaHealth is seeking a Senior Manager, Workforce & Culture to act as the internal point-of-contact for Human Resources (HR), working closely with our external HR partner to maintain awareness of ongoing HR priorities and manage aspects of our company’s talent management including recruiting/retention, hiring/onboarding, performance management, training & development, and workplace culture.

The Senior Manager position will develop into a hybrid position with four-day weekly office attendance in our Berwyn, PA office.

What the position will be doing
  • Participate in, with the focus on eventually leading, the culture committee, a group tasked with the creation and enhancement of a positive workplace culture that aligns with an organization's values and mission.
  • Understand staffing needs across the organization and ensure comprehensive job descriptions are developed and maintained for every role in the organization.
  • Manage and conduct general organizational onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Work to enhance the onboarding processes and materials. Ensure a positive onboarding and acclimation experience for new hires to the business by following up and soliciting feedback.
  • Manage an offboarding process, in conjunction with our external HR partner, for staff and ensure a process is followed and documentation is maintained.
  • Assess training needs, including evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of our current employees within the organization.
  • Communicate with other departments to develop and implement needed training programs.
  • Design, develop, and implement departmental and annual training programs based on assessments.
  • Manage and maintain the learning management system (LMS) and program data.
  • Review HR-related policies and procedures as created and updated by our HR partner. Make recommendations for new policies as needed.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect organizational needs.
  • Support the Chief of Staff and external HR partner on the design, implementation, and tracking of the organization’s performance management program.
  • Support the Chief of Staff with the compilation and provision of data to the C-Suite for all compensation review cycles.
  • Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement of AscellaHealth’s HR programs.
  • Actively contribute to a positive work environment by acting and communicating to facilitate relationships, continuity of business operations, and meet company demands and expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remaining flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources management or other similar, related field of study.
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Human Resources Specialist or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of HR technology (HRIS, HRMS, etc.)
  • Previous experience developing HR policies and processes.
  • Experience in change management and developing plans to enhance culture and engagement.
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with designing training programs and workshops is a plus.
  • Experience in managing a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques is a plus.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion is a must.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • The ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations, are necessary.
  • Exceptional oral and written skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to work closely with Senior Management.
  • The ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.
  • The ability to organize resources, personnel, and actions for the successful completion of programs and tasks.
  • The ability to provide direction and motivation and set an example through open communication and modeling best practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
